Will pets at work place cause lack of productivity?
It is a great idea to hang around with your pet and play with this sweetest member of the family who will never grow up, no matter how much it grows. A pet in the family is no less important than a child. Despite the fact that staying with our furry friend is the best way to pass out time, we cannot be with them always, especially in our office. It is tough to leave them at home and stay outside for more than 8 hours. Lack of productivity is the main excuse which keeps our furry sweetheart away from offices.
But there are employers who understand the benefit of keeping pets in the work place. K9 units are one of the valid examples where a dog is allowed to stay in the office floor. In America this lack of productivity by taking pets at work is a debatable issue. Every June people celebrate the “Take Your Dog to Work” Day as a protest to all the American employers who finds the pet will result in lack of productivity. Survey shows that almost 17 % of the American workforce works in pet-friendly offices, while 23 % of the Americans feel that allowing pets in office should be fostered.
With so many statistics on the permission of allowing pets at workplace, it is proven that the idea of not allowing pets at office for the sake of low productivity is simply a lame excuse.
