Time Management, A Deal!

Time Management is one of the biggest challenges of modern times where CEOs, managers, executives, employees, co-workers, marketers, sellers and the common layman are struggling to deal with. Saving time today is going to yield good fruits tomorrow, by this I mean, the time consumed for productive activities today, you are actually sowing seeds for fruits tomorrow. At the end of the month, you would actually realize, the time you saved nearly doubled your time and you actually had more working hours in a day. In my experiences, I have had so many challenges to face, reporting to my bosses and delivering the work on time and in the end I myself realized, how those fast paced minutes of the day really made my work more valuable and worthwhile.

Time and Money ManagementThe modern timers have named Time as Money, I think it stands true to the fact that the more time you spend in your productivity the more money you are supposed to be making money, its vice-versa and also interdependent on each other till the extent you are talking of time spent in your company. The modern world has got us so many opportunities and efficient machines to work on making our tasks easier and faster but we still keep nagging about less time in a day. WHY DON’T WE ALL BECOME AGGRESSIVE ABOUT MANAGING OUR TIME? Now that sounds like a really out of the box question but if you think in detail over it, you will know what I am talking about. A person achieves success in life when he is really passionate about it and the person truly gets what he deserves, only when there is aggressiveness in their temptations and they are willing to spend whatever hours just to achieve their goals in life, may it be personal or professional goals. Time and Money are both ingredients of the same mixture what we call business, as you have time, you have money and as you have money you have time. Its only the people who value their time can truly value the time of others.

Different organizations have different strategies that will determine the money spent on the company’s expenses the same way a businessperson will develop a strategy that will determine how he will spend his time on selling his stuff. Time is one of the most important priorities today, each of the businesses have a proper set budget to run their units and the businessmen follows a particular budget in spending time. Here I share with you some of the best things to do to save your valuable time and utilize it in a very productive manner:

  1. Prioritize

The most important factors today is that of time and even more important is giving it a priority. Big organizations don’t work just simply by formulating different strategies; they have an organized time balanced plan in place to handle their vast resources. Its doesn’t get much difficult once you are used to managing and effectively prioritizing your tasks on a daily or monthly basis and as you move ahead, you will see managing your time is like a habit, you start identifying key decisions to be taken and the tasks that needs to be completed faster than the rest.

  2. Focus

Anyone can dedicate their time in to doing some productive work but what is more important is doing your work with a focus, if you are focused in to doing something than there are more chances of you being more successful. Set your tasks each for a week or on monthly basis and follow them accordingly and focus in doing them. Lot of our time gets wasted through out the day even without we knowing it like unwanted meetings, guests from abroad, committee meetings, etc. these are some things which you cannot avoid but if have focused on doing what little you could do, you can greatly improve the chances of completing your tasks right no time.

  3. Setting aside the time

Ddivide your time into productive and non-productive activities, have all your plans in place every week and change it as needed each day. Te most productive of your time gets utilized in varied activities like planning, organizing, calling meetings, developing new strategies, ideas, etc. you can learn effective time management by a “do not disturb” board marking outside your office, prioritizing what tasks are needed earlier and calling weekly meetings.

Time has always been a crucial issue in this fast paced world of machines, we humans act as machines and keep doing productive work till we have fuel filled in us and that fuel is our own motivation, zeal to proceed ahead in life, completing the targets, being passionate about our work, resources and company culture and the most important of all, “Giving importance to your own time and respecting the time of everyone around you”. Managing your time is dealing with your own self, dealing with company, dealing with your clients and yes it’s a LIFETIME DEAL!
