Leadership Success!



Leadership has a broader concept than we can really think of and taking over the challenges of the company as your own is still wider a concept, getting in to the details of leadership as an individual is a very complicated job from the view point of a laymen but a true leader will never find such hardship on his way to achievements. I often wonder in amazement how some company employees are de-motivated towards their work; they hardly know anything about the company or take interest in the company activities. Recently, during my research work, I went to some big multinational company only to find out 60% of employees working new very less about the company management, now here comes the question, Do employees know their bosses well? How their bosses work? A leader is said to be successful in his endeavors when he is able to situate himself in the hearts of employees he is working with, he dedicates his time and efforts in building success path for his colleagues.

When I see some employees nearly knowing nothing about their bosses or managers, I pity for the organization because it has been unsuccessful in creating a culture of sorts which gets imbibed in to employees working system if the management would have been organized at first place. Its understood fact that if employees know nothing of management, then the roles of leaders is not wide ranged, it has very limited access to what the employees are doing, they hardly interact with them to find out their problems or share their successes. The value of leader counts on the lessons he gives to his followers, may whatever be the processes, he should be able to fill up the gap between his co-employees and the upper hierarchy, the interaction is the most important aspects of a leader, if he stays in egoistic world, people will hardly respect or follow his directions so the best advised rule of management is to come out of your room and talk to people.

Interaction is the very base of success, unless the success stories, tips, tricks, methods are shared they cannot be named as success, when managers share the success stories of their companies with their employees they feel included, they feel a part of a bigger organization and they get motivated to work even harder. I have seen organization, where there are several hierarchy of managers, but everyone one of them interacts with each other as they are talking to their colleagues, of course, it shouldn’t go out of limit though, this is actually necessary when employees are asked something about their bosses, it gives them chance to express the unknown and unanswered. You can only lead a team only if they know you well, its important to know even more of the organization and the processes they are working for. A basic knowledge is the priority for any company, for it gives confidence to the employees to answer their clients more willfully and more enthusiastically.

The main job of a leader is to provide information to his employees and do their jobs well; he inspires everyone and creates positive vibes in the office environment. Through such actions of a leader, the employees feel close to the organization and the work processes they are doing, they are motivated to give their best to the company, it’s a connection they realize and proceed to achieve the missions of a company. Given below are some of the points, I feel are important to make your employees get a feel of being connected to the organization they are work for:

  1. Realize the points you really want your employees to know about the company.
  2. Analyze the communication processes the way it is received and provided and if necessary make improvements.
  3. See the effectiveness of communication processes at all levels in the company.
  4. Implement a strategy in the company especially for inner communications within the organization relating to new recruitments, the current workers.
  5. Create an information desk where people can get info about managers and their own values in the levels.
  6. Make sure the information reaches each and every employee of the company.

As much as the leaders try hard to get their employees together, it is bound for the employees too, to support their leaders in tasks given in the company and that to corporate with everybody in whatever circumstances even if its not running as per their wishes.
