Building your brand in playboy style



Well, many people would go bananas - what the hell playboy is doing in a management blog? If the term playboy sounds synonymous to sex than you are a part of other millions of people having the same association feelings with the term. Well, for our branding discussion for today let me be very clear that the playboy brand is surely going to get us results and the article is not about sex. For centuries, marketing has been a subject of controversies with different ideas, exposures, facts, etc. but somehow it is still existent as it’s really necessary to have all of these. There has been lots of brands which has created history and could be closely associated to the marvels of marketing world.

Building brandsUsually, when we talk about brands, some people might perceive a brand product, a company, a person or a thing or an object. The famous brand champions are Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Oprah, Mary Kay Ash, etc. all these people have brand as the main element in them to sell any type of product. A person is what makes a brand, the successful years in building a brand is at no level matched to the millions of dollars spent in making a brand. Brands are promoted anonymously and when they start getting popular, do we get the hint about what the brand is all about. Most of the marketing managers today, keep searching for a perfect name to gel well with the brands; the perfect recipe to branding success lies in boosting your brand equity.

Sometimes, marketing budgets are unaccountable and many a time you see marketers managers battling to get more finance for a more secured and accurate budgets to build a brand. Money is worth it, when it gives results. For playing an important role of a brand, it is necessary to market your products in a correct manner. We know that Brands are an intangible assets and it holds together individuals like shareholders, owners, analysts and investors. Brands have been a super power luxury for companies to advertise themselves in a very unique and sophisticated manner without talking about themselves everytime they want to sell their product. Brands bring us name, fame and selling success but at the same time having a strong brand does not mean that it will yield you success but if you are well established and put forward the best quality and services, it is surely going to get market hold.
