The Need to Adhere to Proper Business Ethics In Life

There is a line between legit and ill-legit business and there is a thin line divides the same. However these days businesses choose to run their operations and make their decisions and strategies following a stringent test, which determines what is the right action to be taken and which can be termed as Business ethics.

The process of following business ethics involves a judgment to be made against a set of values that may well be unique to a particular firm and that may vary depending on the perceptions, view, and ideas of the senior management of the company who are the decision makers.

To be specific and to make it crystal clear to all involved what are the rules that define the business policies, many business houses and the corporate world introduce an manual of ethical code of conduct, which has to be practiced by all the employees of the company and which tunes them to respond in any given situation, without compromising on the code of conduct.

The ethical codes may also include and stress upon the company’s production and marketing policies, and may clearly define what is acceptable and unacceptable to strategize promotional activities, the managements attitudes and policies to what constitutes acceptable competitive practices and how the employees must interact with its customers and other business contacts.

If the companies adhere to strict conduct of business ethics, it encourages and helps the company to project its brand which has value and reputation, and the employees are keen to work for the company which does the right things which invariably increases the retention of staff, and also the employees will meet some of their self esteem needs if they believe that they are employed in a company which believes and follows strict business ethics.
