Work, Work and more Work, for how long you can go on like this? Are you always failing at work or always falling short of targets each month or is your boss always shouting at you for no fault of yours? If you belong to somewhere in any of the above categories, it is time for you to bring change in the way you deal with your work. You surely cannot have control over the work given by your bosses but you have all the control in the way you give productive. Productivity is the main criteria for you and that too giving the quality work, without ever compromising on your family time or outings with your friend. The core solution lies in managing your time well, here are some of the productivity tools or tips that can be used daily to bring inefficiency in your work.

Plan your day well

Before you start your day doing some work or even before checking your mails, make a point to plan your schedule or the important to-do list for the day. There is nothing that you cannot accomplish, take 10 minutes to decide and re-confirm what are the important tasks for the day.

Organizing your desk

Keep your important folders and files marked in different colors, do not waste your productive time in searching through big stacks of files. Keep important documents handy that you need on a frequent basis. Only keep current business documents or files on your desk do not clutter your office with unwanted project files or papers.

Read and do important things first

Organizing your tasks well helps you do the most important work faster, skip all unimportant things like reading smses, or calling a friend to wish birthday or talking to family unless it is really important. Read only important emails and block all the spam emails in your inbox account.

Check on your productivity

After accomplishing each of your scheduled tasks for the day, ask yourself this question whether was the task done really yield any good output or results. If you are too busy then delegate some of your work to your colleagues if it is really needed.

Use technological developments

A single telephonic conversation can waste lots of your time so instead you can email them or send them IMs. Set your phone calls on voicemails to avoid unwanted conversations at work, you can allow the caller IDs so you know which call to pick up. Be practical at work and do.

Easy Breaks

Everybody is busy today but you should take time out to have proper breakfast and lunch. An occasional break between the work hours helps you refresh yourself from the stress at work and also helps to improve the efficiency.

Working hours

Determine your work time well; decide which is the most creative time for your work. Concentration is the most important elements to bring efficiency in your work. Schedule your telephonic conversations, meetings and other related stuff during non-productive hours.

No Impromptu meetings

Do not allow for any unwanted meetings during your productive work hours, the spur of the moment meetings are a complete waste, as you do not see any productive outcomes because you are not well prepared for the meeting.

Ask Questions

Clear your doubts or ask queries relating to any assignments given to you by your seniors, colleagues or boss, hold on to the project till the time you are completely aware of what you have to deliver. Write down every detail of your project and gather all the crucial information for the project before starting your work.

Schedule meetings with the staff members

General staff meetings helps employees to come up with different types of solutions, instead of motivating them or they asking you questions in the middle of your work. Schedule a proper meeting in which you can discuss it all at one go, this would save loads of your productive time and you will get solutions easily.
